Instructions for Graduation

Jackson State Community College will hold its 2021 commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Prospective fall, spring and summer graduates may participate in the ceremony.

Deadlines for Submitting a Graduation Proposal

If you are a prospective FALL graduate, you must submit a graduation proposal to the Admissions and Records Office no later than Wednesday, December 8, 2021.
If you are a prospective SPRING or SUMMER graduate, you must submit a graduation proposal to the Admissions and Records Office no later than Friday, March 4, 2022 for your name to be included in the graduation program.
If you are a prospective SPRING graduate and do not wish for your name to be included in the graduation program, you must submit a graduation proposal to the Admissions and Records Office no later than Thursday, May 5, 2022.
Prospective SUMMER graduates who do not wish to participate in the ceremony should submit their graduation proposal no later than Friday, August 5, 2022.

Checklist for Submitting a Graduation Proposal

Meet with your academic advisor. Your advisor will assist you with completing the graduation proposal dynamic form in jWeb.
All students are required to complete the exit exam. If you are majoring in Business, Computer Information Technology, or Engineering Systems Technology, you will also need to complete the Career Exit Exam.
