Tips for Writing an Appeal for a Refund

Appeals must be submitted in writing (neatly handwritten or typed) in a timely manner. Please include the following in your appeal:

  • Date
  • Your name
  • Campus ID#: J00
  • Course name (s) – for example ENGL 1010-01 or English Comp I
  • Current address
  • Phone number
  • Signature
  • Detailed explanation of what happened and why
  • Be specific in what you want to happen from your appeal
  • Please submit a copy of all supporting documents of why you are requesting a refund

Submit your appeal in one of the following ways:

  • In person to the Vice President for Student Services Office located in the Student Union Building
  • Fax – 731-425-9566
  • Mail – 2046 North Parkway, Jackson, TN 38301 – ATTN: Vice President for Student Services
  • Scan and email to hbunney@jscc.edu

Any recommendations to allow a refund require FINAL approval of the President of JSCC.
