Student Parking

Student parking fees are included with your tuition. Each student is issued a parking decal when they pay their fees. If you pay your tuition online or by mail, you must obtain your parking decal in the Business Office. Vehicle description and license plate number are required to obtain parking decal.
Students may park in the designated student parking areas. Vehicles parked incorrectly will be ticketed. Students are not allowed to park in employee places even if they have permission from the parking place holder.

Parking Regulations

Students should park in parking spaces or areas appropriately designated by signs and/or colored markers. Students are NOT to park:

  • In reserved spaces painted green and marked “employee only”
  • In reserved spaces painted red with disabled signs unless that student displays a special red decal on their vehicles
  • In reserved spaces marked for visitors
  • In these prohibited areas: loading zones, sidewalks, campus streets, grassy areas and within 15 feet of fire hydrants

Citations

Citations for violations must be paid promptly and within the semester issued. Fines may be paid in the Business Office. The violator's copy of the citation must be presented at the time of payment.

Traffic citations not paid by the last day of the last day of the semester prohibit release of the student violator's grade report and official transcript. The student may not register for the ensuing semester and, in cases where a student has registered early, he/she may be withdrawn from the college.

Appeals

If a student believes he/she has a justifiable reason that may affect the traffic citation, he/she may appeal to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Appeals must be in writing and received within FIVE working days of the issuance of the citation.
